Wind power is increasingly becoming a supporting pillar of the energy transformation. All the more it is surprising that over two thirds of all operators of wind power stations are using maintenance strategies that differ significantly from the economically optimal maintenance strategy. However, the economic success of such systems heavily depend on consistently high performance and a trouble-free operation. Due to the consistent implementation of optimal maintenance strategies alone in Germany there could besave up to € 100 million maintenance costs  in the coming years and be prevent up to € 200 million loss of production costs per year, so the conclusion of the study “maintenance strategies for systems of wind turbines” the Conmoto Consulting Group.
